We were on honeymoon and loved out stay here. The views were amazing and the lodge very luxurious. The staff were very attentive and archie the owner was very friendly and informative on what tours to do. The lodge we stayed in was gorgeous, with four poster bed, outdoor shower and private terrace. The breakfast was lovely as was the evening meal we had here. Would thoroughly reccomend.

The view from my room at Hitgeheim Country Lodge was absolutely breathtaking. I could see rolling hills and mountains in the distance, creating a serene and peaceful atmosphere. The room itself was spotless and comfortable, providing a cozy space to relax after a long day of exploring. The staff at the lodge were incredibly friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable. They even arranged a special local African dinner for me, offering a unique culinary experience. The food throughout my stay was delicious and reasonably priced. I also took part in a morning Addo tour and an evening Schotia tour, both of which were well-organized and provided incredible wildlife sightings. I had a wonderful experience at the lodge and would highly recommend it to others.

I had a fantastic experience at this peaceful lodge surrounded by beautiful plantation and even glimpses of wildlife like zebras and antelopes. the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable. the Addo and Schotia safaris were a highlight, and I wish I could have stayed longer to fully experience all that this lodge has to offer. the bungalows were stunning with their thatched roofs and breathtaking views, and the meals were top, notch, especially the braai dinner with free, flowing wine. Meeting people from around the world added to the charm of this must, visit destination.
A one, year, old infant on a six, hour safari seemed a bit unusual and potentially disruptive.

They were always smiling, helpful, and made us feel like royalty. the facilities were top-notch, from the stunning views of the surrounding valley to the comfortable rooms. We were also impressed with the attention to detail and the level of cleanliness throughout the lodge. Best aspects: One of the best aspects of our stay was the arranged safaris. the guides were knowledgeable and passionate about the wildlife, making the experience truly enjoyable. the food at the lodge was also exceptional, with a good variety of options and delicious flavors to choose from. Lastly, the location of the lodge was perfect - secluded and peaceful, yet close enough to attractions and activities in the area.
Although our overall experience was fantastic, we did encounter a rough road leading up to the lodge. It was a bit uncomfortable driving on it, especially in our small rental car.

The modern and clean rooms had a charming African touch with their thatched roofs, adding to the overall ambiance. the attention to detail in every aspect of the hotel was truly commendable, from the well-maintained reserve where we had the chance to encounter zebras on a walk to the delicious food and wine served at the restaurant. It was a delight to relax in a hot bath after a chilly day at the nearby Addo Park.
We had a disappointing experience with the restaurant. Upon our arrival at the designated check-in time, we were informed that the restaurant was closed and that we should have informed the hotel in advance if we wanted to dine there.

I had the most amazing stay at a tranquil location with friendly and attentive staff. The moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by William and the entire staff made sure I felt at home throughout my stay. The location of the lodge was perfect, nestled on hills overlooking the serene Orange Groves. The peacefulness and tranquility were exactly what I needed, especially after a day of exploring the nearby Addo Elephant Park. The views from the lodge were breathtaking, especially during sunrise. My room was spacious and comfortable, with a separate cottage that had a lovely wet room bathroom. Although there was no TV, I didn't mind as I was captivated by the natural beauty around me. The amenities in the room included a mini bar, tea and coffee making facilities, and a safe for important belongings. The food at the lodge was well-executed and delicious, with a small but freshly cooked and beautifully presented menu.

The location of the hotel was absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views of the surrounding valley. It was truly a peaceful and tranquil setting. The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. They were always available to assist with anything we needed. The food at the hotel was exceptional, with a varied and innovative menu that impressed us. We particularly enjoyed the four-course dinner options, which offered a great selection of delicious dishes.
One aspect that we found a bit inconvenient was the road leading to the hotel. It was unpaved and in poor condition, which made for a slightly uncomfortable drive, especially in our small rental car.
